OUR PROGRAM
A SOLDIER'S HOME
U.S. veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can utilize music services at Dream House Studios. Research supports the effectiveness of music and music therapy addressing:
-Social and Emotional Functioning
-Cognitive Skills
-Verbal/Non-verbal communication
-Fine Motor Skills
-Sensory Processing and Perception
Sessions
Vets can enroll in weekly 30 minute or 60 minute sessions. Sessions are dedicated on the veteran's musical preference; whether it's vocal or instrumental. Vocal sessions can be any genre of music and also includes spoken word and poetry. For instrumental sessions veterans must bring in their instrument(s) of choice. Apart from weekly sessions, veterans are encouraged to attend our monthly group meeting.
